Alisa Mazo

Prior to obtaining her law degree from Robson Hall, Alisa attended the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. 

After her call to the Ontario Bar, Alisa worked for some of Canada's largest insurance companies and international insurance companies defending the interests of insurers as they relate to personal injury claims. Alisa advocated for insurers before various levels of Courts and the Financial Services Commission of Ontario.

Alisa's professional legal experience also includes work with a national broadcaster negotiating and drafting multi-million dollar contracts with international producers and film studios.

Alisa is active with a number of professional organizations including the Advocate's Society and the Canadian Bar Association. Alisa is a member in good standing of the Law Society of Upper Canada.

Today, Alisa's work centres around assisting her clients start and resolve personal injury claims. Alisa is recognized as an aggressive and effective litigator. Each client's case is treated with exceptional care and attention. Alisa is dedicated to advocating for victims of personal injury and is committed to getting the most favourable results for her clients.

Val Chowbay

Val  began her post secondary studies at Queen’s University where she obtained an Honours BA in Politics and Sociology.  She went on to post graduate studies and obtained a Masters of Science from the University of Oxford.  Val completed her law degree at the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law where she was awarded the  Alvin D. Fromm Memorial Scholarship in Civil Procedure.  

Since her call to the bar Val has practiced exclusively in the area of insurance litigation working as In- House counsel for one of Canada’s leading insurance companies.  She has appeared before various levels of Courts and before the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO).  Having defended numerous insurance claims on behalf of the insurer, Val possesses an intimate knowledge of the policies and procedures of the insurance industry.  Today, she is committed to using her knowledge and experience to achieve maximum results for her clients. 

Val is in a member of the Advocates Society and the Canadian Bar Association.
